Jesus was baptized (Matthew 3:13-17).
The Bible tells us that every believer is to be baptized in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
Baptism is a symbolic act to publicly profess your salvation (1 Peter 3:21).
At Now Church, we practice full-immersion baptism, symbolizing the process of death and resurrection that Jesus went through for us
(Romans 6:3-4).
When we go under the water, it symbolizes the death and burial of our sinful selves. When we come out of the water, it symbolizes our resurrection as a new creation in Christ (Galatians 3:27; 2 Corinthians 5:17).
